COVID-19 Preparations at Shapiro Sher

As Shapiro Sher monitors the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are committed to protecting the health of employees and clients, and to providing reliable business counsel throughout the crisis. To that end, on March 13 our Firm implemented a comprehensive business-continuity plan that has allowed our attorneys and staff to provide uninterrupted service.
 
Though our physical offices are temporarily closed, Shapiro Sher’s attorneys and staff, through their virtual offices, are equipped and prepared to carry on the business of the Firm while working off-site. We will continue to be responsive to our clients’ needs as we assist them in weathering this pandemic and its impact on our business community.

The newspaper inducted Mr. Gibson and 11 other civic and business leaders into its Hall of Fame.

Capone Sees His Day in Court

On May 18, Paul Mark Sandler’s play “The Trial of Al Capone” was performed by a cast of “legal luminaries” before a crowd of 240 at Stevenson University, according to The Daily Record. The play, produced by the Maryland State Bar Association, dramatized what might have occurred had Capone been put on trial for the infamous St. Valentines Day Massacre. Proceeds benefited the Maryland Access to Justice Commission.
