Attorney Profile

Michael S. Bullock is an associate in Shapiro Sher’s Insurance Law and Litigation Groups. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance law, construction law, and commercial litigation. Mr. Bullock represents insurance companies, producers, and other professionals in insurance coverage disputes, business torts, and other commercial matters. He also represents individuals and businesses in contract disputes, conspiracy, fraud, and other tort claims. 

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Bullock served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Andrea M. Leahy on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Mr. Bullock is a graduate of Washington College, where he majored in English.  Mr. Bullock is also a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Bullock served as a Staff Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review, as a Student Attorney with the Pretrial Justice Clinic he represented clients held on improper pretrial conditions, and he worked as a law clerk at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.

Changes to The Maryland Insurance Article Affecting Public Adjusters

The Maryland General Assembly recently approved several amendments to the Subtitle of the Maryland Insurance Article (“Ins.”) applicable to licensed public adjusters (Ins. § 10-401-416). These new amendments – established in 2024 Maryland Laws Chapter 826 (House Bill 36) – modify Sections 10-411(h) and 10-414(e)-(f) and become effective October 1, 2024.
